E44 EECE 512 Combustion Phenomena

Introduction to fundamental aspects of combustion phenomena including relevant thermochemistry, fluid mechanics, and transport processes. Emphasis is on elucidation of the physico-chemical processes, problem formulation, and analytical techniques. Topics covered include ignition, extinction, diffusion flames, particle combustion, deflagrations, and detonations. Prerequisites: graduate standing or permission of instructor.
