Leadership Development: Purpose, Character, & Capability (3 credits): The mission of Washington University in St. Louis is, in part, “to act in the service of truth through the formation of leaders.” This course introduces students to a view of leadership that transcends a formal role or position and applies across different arenas of life (e.g., community, business, politics, science, arts). Amidst pluralism, the motivation, ability, and understanding of how to provide leadership effectively will enable students to advance new ideas, collaborate effectively with others, and have a positive impact on society.
